Koozh mostly the Raagi Koozh (Kezhvaragu koozh) is famous in Tamil Nadu that too in Aadi Month. It is distributed in Mariamman Temples as Prasadham. It is so healthy and makes the body cool. In my childhood days, i used to drink this and i love the taste. After a very long time, i want to prepare this and after i prepared, i just went back to my childhood days again.
How to make Ragi Koozh
Preparation time: 35 min (Exclude fermentation time - 8 hrs) | Cook Time: 30 min | Serves: 8

Ingredients
To make Koozh
- Raagi flour - 2.5 cups
- Rice - 1/2 cup
- Curd - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 Chopped
- Salt - as per taste
Method
1. Take the ragi flour. (Around 250 gms). Add enough water to the ragi flour.

To Serve
1. The Koozh will be in thick consistency.
2. In order to serve, take 1 cup of koozh and add 1 or 2 cup of water and make it a batter consistency.
3. To this add salt, onion and curd.

We make it in a different way! Never added rice in koozh though.Heard that rice will be added with Ragi-kali(à®°ாகிகளி).

i love koozh.... but my mom makes it only once a year during aadi pooja.. but if i ask it after that she'll say "i will make it....." but she never makes it.
i thought to drink it form roadside shop but they make other non-veg stuff with it which i dont like since am pure-vegetarian.
I searched to how to make for nearly 45min... when i was about to quit this blog showed up, THANKS A MILLION..... i never cooked but i want to try this and i'll get to drink it when ever i want...
