Simple Upma



Ingredients
  • Semolina - 2 cup
  • Water - 5 cups
  • mustard seeds - 1 pinch
  • urud dhall - 1/4 tsp
  • toor dhall - 1/2 tsp
  • onion - 1 (cut into small pieces)
  • garlic - 6 ( cut into small pieces)
  • green chilli - 2 (cut into small pieces)
  • curry leaves - few
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • salt for taste
  • oil - 2 tsp
  • ghee - 1 tsp

 Method  
  • In kadai, fry the semolina till little brown and keep it aside. 
  • In another kadai, add oil, mustard seeds, urud dhall, black gram dhall, onion, garlic, green chilli, curry leaves and saute till the onions becomes brown colour. 
  • Now add the water and salt. 
  • While it is boiling, add the fried semolina, little by little and cook for 5 mts. 
  • Check for seasoning and add the ghee. 
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
